The Edmond J. Safra Synagogue of Deal stands as a spiritual home for the Sephardic Jewish community of Deal, New Jersey and the surrounding shore area. Named in honor of the late philanthropist Edmond J. Safra, our synagogue embodies his lifelong commitment to Torah study, communal prayer, and Jewish continuity.


We invite you to join us for daily and Shabbat prayer services, holiday celebrations, life-cycle events, and ongoing Torah education programs that strengthen our community and deepen our connection to our heritage.

& Programs

From daily minyanim to lifecycle celebrations and educational opportunities, our synagogue offers a full range of spiritual and communal services.

Prayer Services

Daily Shacharit, Mincha, and Maariv services following the Sephardic minhag, with special prayer schedules for Shabbat and Yom Tov.

Torah Study

Ongoing shiurim and classes for men and women, covering Parasha, Halacha, Pirkei Avot, and Sephardic traditions throughout the week.

Life-Cycle Events

B'nei Mitzvah celebrations, weddings, shiva minyanim, and other milestones honored with care, tradition, and communal warmth.

The Edmond J. Safra Synagogue of Deal was established to serve the vibrant Sephardic Jewish community of the Jersey Shore. Named in memory of Edmond J. Safra — a devoted philanthropist, dedicated Jew, and champion of Sephardic heritage — our synagogue carries forward his legacy through prayer, learning, and communal care.


Situated in Deal, New Jersey, we serve families who have built their lives here, as well as the broader community that comes together especially during the summer months.
